Me, Rain and Socks
5.08 PM, October 28th 2011, Friday.
The Strangest thing that the weather and I have something we can relate to is the fact that in EVERY English-related activity I’ve participated in since high school until this college days, it is MOSTLY raining. And sometimes, those raining days cancel the time with my English-related activities, mostly the favorite or planned-out ones. This, of course, sucks! Although at times of laziness, these things actually help. (help my laziness to magnify, of course. :D)
In all of seriousness though, there is one example that I can make out that JUST happened.
Supposedly, I wasn’t supposed to be writing this. Or maybe completing a couple missions in GTA San Andreas. Or maybe modifying a few cars, winning races and defeating the Blacklist #10 in NFS Most Wanted.
Yes, I wasn’t supposed to be doing those things.
I was supposed to be sitting on a bench outside Room 11 on the third floor of the Engineering faculty building. I was supposed to be reading Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close while waiting for my fellow friends to come. And I was supposed to be discussing with a friend about our plans of a Debate Competition after half an hour of activities that improve my English.
THOSE were the ones that were supposed to happen.
Instead, I was stuck with my GTA San Andreas, NFS Most Wanted, Microsoft Word and feeling of remorse after forgetting to pick up the supposedly-already-dry-but-soaked socks.
That last one really beat me up. I thought I’ve already picked up every clothes and pants that I put under the sun this morning. Turns out, I didn’t. AND, the greatest thing is… *drum rolls*
I just realized about the sock when it’s already about 100 gallons were poured down upon the earth.
I don’t know if I should be happy about the rain earlier, or feeling all negative. But I know one thing.
Tomorrow, I’ve got socks to be put up under the sun, AGAIN!!
